Gold Badge is a user-generated rating platform that allows members to publicly or anonymously share and rate their interactions with law enforcement officials. We provide the ability to search and view user-submitted interactions for any badge number or department in our database. When viewing profiles, users will be presented with the overall badge ratings of the officer or department based on submitted interactions.

Gold Badge was built to promote interconnection, accountability and transparency between the community and their local law enforcement members. We believe that every law enforcement interaction should be documented; both positive and negative interactions. Doing so will provide you with your own evidence of the interaction, as well as help to improve police conduct by awarding proper conduct with a Gold Badge rating. This public platform serves as a place to compliment officers and departments who work selflessly to keep our community safe, while increasing accountability to those who fail to do so.

Due to recent incidents involving police use of force and other matters, there has been a disconnect and lack of trust between police agencies and the communities they serve. Gold Badge was created in order to foster that relationship using social media to publicize positive interactions between law enforcement officials and the community they serve, as well as drawing attention to any negative interactions.
